PASSPORT OFFICE COMPUTERISATION

The Regional Passport Office, Kerala started functioning at Cochin during 1975, consequent on bifurcation of Kerala Region from Regional Passport Office, Madras (Chennai). All the districts of Kerala, Lakhadweep and Mahe were under the jurisdiction of this Office. In June, 1978, this office was again bifurcated to Passport Office, Kozhikode with the northern districts and Mahe. Later in 1992, the Passport liaison office at Trivandrum was upgraded to a full-fledged Passport office with southern districts of Kerala.
